Wentworth Military Academy High School students are getting high-tech during an Arduino summer school class. Arduino is a microcontroller that allows for student-built interaction design projects.

At left, above, student Mike Aaronson works on building his own calculator. Assisting is Rick Kissell, at left.

Pictured below, at left, students in a summer school forensics class at Wentworth learn about fingerprint and footprint analysis from Steven Singer of the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department Crime Scene Team.

The students will also be studying autopsies and trace evidence during the six-week course. For the final exam, students will have to do their own investigation of a mock crime scene.
